This project will mobilise and train 100 young mothers in vegetable gardening so they can establish small businesses, selling vegetables as well as feeding their families. It will make use of the small plots of land provided by the United Nations in the Ugandan refugee camps.
What will the project achieve?
- Much needed food for 1000s of South Sudanese people in refugee camps.
- An income for 100 women
- Equip women in urban farming, providing useful life skills
- Empower women with entrepreneurial skills, as they work together and establish savings group
How can you help?
We are raising £2000 to provide farming training and buy vegetable seeds like
spinach, tomatoes, onions, green peppers, peas and carrots.
